Her disability doesn't prevent Domenica from creating countless colorful abstracts that brighten up many a wall of her family and friends. Having had several seizures at the age of ten months left Domenica developmentally disabled, yet still eager to learn and succeed. In August of 2011 her mother, also an artist, organized a Paint Day for the girls in the family. The six women spent an afternoon painting en plein air, each completing her own masterpiece.
